First, soak the strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries in rum for at least 3 hours - although I cover them in a bowl and soak overnight.

Once the fruit is ready, mix the white rum, white wine, red wine and cranberry juice in a pitcher. Play with the proportions to suit your taste. Liberal sampling is recommended. In fact invite a neighbor or two over to sample a glass just to be sure. Then - Add the fruit.

Ladle into large goblets and serve chilled - preferably with an afternoon barbecue.

Variation - I have also tried to mix in a bit of Sprite or 7-up, although it makes it a bit too "fizzy" for my tastes.

Put 1 bottle of red wine (merlot is best)in a medium saucepan and add 3/4 c. of water and 1/2 c. of sugar. Also put in a whole cinnamon stick, a tablespoon of lemon juice and 5 whole cloves. Warm slowly stirring, esp. until sugar dissolves. Don't let it boil, but it should be ready in about 25 minutes. Put a lemon slice into the bottom of coffee cups before pouring. Make sure the cloves or cinnamon sticks arent poured out. Great drink for cold days or nights.

A "trashy" form of jungle juice.

This is great for a large party. In order for people to get in, they must bring in a fifth of SOME SORT of alcohol (or a six pack) and a few pieces of fruit. Any kind will do but the most popular are mentioned in the list above. Our best tasting Garbage Juice came from the ingredients mentioned.

First off all, find yourself a trash can. If you're having a large party, it probably should be a trash can. It has to be BIG, though, or it won't all fit. (I don't recommend a used and slightly dirtied can, but I have seen it done and people swear by the taste :S)

Have everyone throw their stuff in the can and don't touch it until everyone has thrown their ingredients into the mix. However, make sure there's a variety in the types of alcohol and fruit brought in our you'll just be having a modified version of a jungle juice, which is not a Garbage Juice. :)

Find a large stick and stir it while having people mash the fruit (you may want to remove the tops from strawberries and stuff but it wouldn't be "garbage" if you did!)

After it's all stirred, mashed and beautiful, then have people help themselves to the lovely drink. I can guarantee you won't go through it all because the combination of alcohols really messes people up. Oh well. More for you later.

Don't feel like you can't include flavored alcohols in there...it really enhances the flavor if someone throws in a watermelon vodka or something. I just don't recommend non-fruity flavors like caramel or chocolate liquers.

It's also better if it sits out for awhile...a day or so.
