The Depth Charge Doesn't necessarily have to be done with whisky as the spirit/liqueur, but there isn't a tag for generic 'shot' so I had to settle for my fave.

Anyway, take your shot glass and fill it with a spirit/liqueur of your choice. Then drop it slowly into a full pint of beer. Hopefully (!?), the spirit/liqueur will be denser than the beer and thus remain in the shot glass.

Now drink away merrily at your beer until you reach the last dregs, at which point the shot will come out of the glass, mix with the beer, and create an altogether nice surprise. Yum!

(Note: You can also do this with cider)

Pour into shot glasses.

Grab a lime, split it into 6 wedges, and cover them with sugar. Serve with the shot.

Drink the shot, then suck on the sugar-covered lime as you would after having a tequila shot. It's sweet, sour, and delicious:)

Pour half a pint of Guinness stout into a pint glass. Then, prepare a shot glass by filling it halfway with the Irish whiskey, then floating Bailey's Irish cream on top of the whiskey until the shot glass is full.

Gather your friends around (or cry because you're drinking alone), and give each person a glass of the Guinness along with the whiskey/Bailey's shot. At the same time, everyone should drop the shot glass into the beer and slam the whole concoction. You _must_ drink it quickly, or the combination of beer and Bailey's will curdle. If you drink it at the right speed, it tastes like creamy chocolate milk heaven, and you'll want to do another one immediately. Which you should.

You don't need to use Guinness/Jameson/Bailey's specifically, but this is the canonical Irish version. I've used Murphy's stout instead of Guinness, and Canadian whiskey instead of Irish, and it tastes fine...but you don't want to push it. The beer absolutely must be a creamy stout.

Cheers!

Second, don't tell that friend what he/she's going to drink (it's more fun this way!) Fill a shot glass about 3/4 full of vodka, top off with Tabasco sauce. Then microwave for about 15 seconds, or until warm. Bottoms up!! (have water handy)

Add a splash of lime juice or lime garnish if you like... try it with and without, it changes the flavor noticeably.

Get it all in your mouth at once, no sipping.
