SB-on-the-IV Red Cup Jungle Juice Delight

This sounds really nasty, but it's the best Jungle Juice recipe I've ever tasted. Came across this one in Santa Barabara on Isla Vista Blvd.

First, secure for use a CLEAN large tub, ice-chest, bathtub, bucket, etc. (something big to hold tasty beverage).

Then buy a gallon of Popov Vodka (a handle), 30-pack of whatever cheap beer you want (I've only tried Keystone Lager), a 1 or 2 pound bag of ice and 5 different Minute Maid juice concentrates (you know, the kind you usually mix in a pitcher with 5 containers full of water, you can use berry punch, fruit punch, limeade, pink lemonade, strawberry juice, etc., but I recommend staying away from orange juice and anything grape).

Checklist:
Large container
5 different juice concentrates
30-pack of cheap beer
Handle/gallon of cheap vodka
Big bag of ice

Now that you have all your ingredients, pour it all into your large container as fast as you can. Stir. Serve.

While the amounts listed here are designed to give you an idea of the proportions to use, the only way to really make the feared hamasarosa is to take all the ingredients and throw them together in a container big enough to hold everything.

Warning: this drink is named after a terrorist group for a reason. It tends to go off like a suicide bomb, with predictable results. It bearly tastes like there's alcohol in it, but has an alcohol content closer to a shot then a mixed drink. Imagine sucking on a Mike's Limeade that has the same potency as a gin and tonic, and you get the idea. As such, it can get on top of even the most hardened drinker. Do not make this drink if you have anything to do early the next day, do not want to spend the night getting into fights with your friends, or do not want to end up sleeping in a parking lot.

Prepare a tall glass full of ice then add the Tequila and 5 drops of Angostura Bitters. Top up with Limeade (Minute Maid works best). Stir and garnish with the lemon wedge.

Why Conchito? I wanted a Mojito, but had none of the ingredients! Mix my last name into it and this turned out to be a real crowd pleaser.

For a variation, see the Summer Knight:

I usually make this for parties in the summer so you should probably pay more attention to what's going on down here.

Mix a 700 ml bottle of Pimm's No. 1 (that's the gin), 32 ounces of limeade (I use Santa Cruz organic limeade), and 36 ounces of ginger ale (I use three bottles of Reed's ginger beer) in a pitcher. Let it chill for an hour or so. Just before you serve, add a diced green apple and some cucumber slices to the pitcher, but make sure you have a ladle or a strainer so your guests won't be chagrined by what ends up in their cups.
