Fill a shaker with the gin, the syrups, the lemon juice, 5-6 mint leaves and about a glass full of crushed ice. Shake vigourosly for 6-8 seconds to extract the flavour from the mint, and pour everything unstrained into a highball glass.

Add ice and lemon-lime soda for topping, and decorate with a mint sprig.

Note: For one serving each part should be around 1 cl.

Kyoto is a Norwegian favorite, originally concocted by famed Norwegian bartender Roar Hildonen. This recipe is a slight twist on the original, from the cocktail bar Selskapssiden in Trondheim.

Prepare a tall glass full of ice then add the Vanilla Vodka, Ginger Beer and Pineapple juice.

Stir ingredients - do not shake to avoid over-exciting the Ginger Beer.

Strain (if desired) and serve.

Get yourself a highball glass. A shot of the herbal liqueur, Jagermeister specifically, goes in first. Pour a can of pineapple juice, usually 5 to 7 ounces, on top. Then either toss in a shot of grain alcohol, high proof vodka, or rum or layer it carefully on top. If you do the latter, set it aflame and deal it as a shot (this is an Afterburning Chuck Jager with Reheat, courtesy of my good drinking buddy Karma). Doing it "with Reheat" may be easier if you use a pineapple liqueur or pineapple juice from concentrate (mmmm, slushy).
