NOTE: This drink uses an easy-to-make Ginger Sugar Syrup and I have included its recipe below.

Prepare a tall glass by rimming it with Ginger Syrup* and Sugar. Quarter a Lime and squeeze 3 wedges into glass, toss in the peel, and add 7 to 10 mint leaves. Muddle the Mint and the Lime peel well. Fill glass with Ice.

Next, add the Rum, Lemon liqueur (preferably Lemoncello), and the Ginger Syrup* into a shaker half full of Ice and shake vigorously. Strain into prepared glass with Lime and Mint mixture, top off with the Carbonated Water and stir well. Garnish with Mint sprig and Lime slice.

*TO MAKE GINGER SYRUP:
Dissolve 1c Sugar in 1C boiling Water. Turn heat down to low and add a 4 inch piece of ginger that has been very thinly sliced and simmer for about 20 to 30 minutes. Cool completely and then strain.

First, make some lemonade - MAKE it, as in no powder, no concentrate - squeeze some lemons, and sugar to taste. Drop a few lemon slices in for good measure. No vodka yet!

This is the important part, and what seperates it from your typical Lemon Drop - pour the lemonade in some martini glasses (saving space for the vodka), and put them in the freezer. You want to take them out when the top is frozen, but there's still liquid underneath. Check after half an hour.

Now, crack the icy top layer, add the vodka, and stir GENTLY. The drink should retain an icy texture. Think "frost".

For best results, consume on a polo ground in July.

NOTE
Add some sugar on the rim, if you're sitll convinced this is a lemon drop.

THANKS TO
Greg, who invented this seasonal favorite. I only gave it a name.

1- Run a lime wedge around the rim of each shot cup (2oz. paper or plastic cups, used in food service work great) Dip each moistened rim in the salt, and set aside

2- In a small saucepan, bring the water to a boil.

3- Pour the 3oz. package of LIME Jello into a medium heatproof bowl and add the boiling water, stirring until the gelatin is dissolved. Let cool.

4- Add the 5oz. Silver Tequila, 2oz. Triple Sec, 1oz. Lime Juice, and 1oz. Orange Juice to the cooled mixture, stirring until well combined.

5- Pour mixture into the prepared cups and refrigerate. Chill until firm. (4-6 hours)

6- Enjoy! This recipe should be enough for 2-3 people.

Note: It is easier to shoot these if you let them set in a different container and then scoop them into your serving cups once it has set.

How to: First get a big Glass, cause you're gonna make a big Cocktail ;) Make sure all the Ingredients are chilled. At first, give the 2 Parts Vodka , the Pineapple juice, the Coconut cream and the Cream into a shaker with 1 or 2 icecubes if you like, then shake it like you are supposed to. Then fill your large Glass up to the half with crushed Ice, and give the mix into it. In the end pour the Blue Curacao into it, and Serve it with a Big Straw and a Pineapple Slice. Optional give the Glass a Sugar-Edge (wetten the edge and stick it into some sugar so it sticks to it).
Na zdrowie ;) (Cheers!)
