Combine vermouth, bourbon, a splash of bitters and ice in a glass, swirl gently. You don't want to bruise the booze and cloud the drink. Strain into cocktail glass and add cherry. Rub orange peel over glass rim and twist it over the drink to release oils, but don't drop it in. Enjoy.
