Old-Fashioned by Savory

2 parts Bourbon

A splash of Angostura Bitters

Sugar

Orange Slice

Lemon peel

Maraschino cherry

1 tsp sugar
2 dashes Angostura bitters
2 pieces of lemon peel
2 oz bourbon or rye whiskey
Orange slice and maraschino cherry

Put sugar in the bottom of an old-fashioned glass and douse with bitters. Muddle the sugar and bitters along with one piece of lemon peel. A small splash of water can help dissolve the sugar. Add bourbon, ice and stir. Garnish with orange and cherry and the other lemon peel.

This recipe is even better if you take it back old school and use rye whiskey instead of bourbon. You can also serve it up, in a martini glass. - Savory (1 day ago)
