Pour the brandy, creme de cacao, and half-and-half (or heavy cream) over 3-5 ice cubes in a shaker. Shake well. Strain into a glass when mixture gets cold and/or frothy enough for your liking. Add a dash or two of nutmeg on top to make it look pretty.
This drink is commonly made with heavy cream, but I find it to be too thick, so I use half-and-half instead.
