Maraschino cherry

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add 2 oz. of Canadian Club whisky, the juice of half a lemon and 1/2 teaspoon sugar.
Shake sharply and strain into a rock glass filled with crushed ice.
Garnish with a maraschino cherry.
