Pour the absinthe into an absinthe glass (use a standard glass if this isn't available). Place a slotted spoon (a spoon with holes in it) over the glass and put the sugar cube onto it. Pour ice cold water over the sugar cube until it has fully disolved and the drink is diluted 3:1.
