Extratasty doesn't have options for flavored water or rum, so I'm sorry the recipe looks bland.

However, this is FLAVORED rum and FLAVORED water. No blandness here!

Fill half a glass (or water bottle for those sneaking liquor past unsuspecting eyes...this is a clear recipe!) with flavored rum. In my opinion, the best flavor is raspberry because it has a matching water flavor. I usually use Bacardi Razz.

After having your desired amount of rum (once again, about half a container) then fill the rest with flavored water of choice. It is best to match the flavors—so use citrus water with citrus rum and strawberry water with strawberry rum.

Why mix with the flavored water, do you say? Well, one time we just wanted to taste the rum but not have it be as strong as drinking it straight. We mixed water with our Bacardi Razz and it dulled the flavor too much. We were going to add pop or juice to it but we then saw a flavored bottle of water. We mixed the two and it was fantastic!

If the two flavors are the same, then you still get a nice bold flavor like you would have from just the rum. It's also then a bit weaker for those with weak stomachs (or for those that like to drink a lot) and the water replenishes some of it lost from dehydration.

Vodka can be substituted in this recipe.

Straight rum? Hmm. That wouldn't be much of a hydrator, would it? ;) And I use Bacardi because unfortunately, I am a college student and don't have funds to spend those extra dollars on something much more expensive. stolen_bliss (160 days ago)

If you want real bold flavours, try a decent aged rum, straight; instead the awfully cheap B-c-rdi stuff you've been using. Walter (161 days ago)
