Add 1 part cough syrup, 1 part Jim Bean, and then 2nd part cough syrup and 2nd part Jim Bean. If you do it carefully, you can get a nice layering affect.

Note that for the cough syrup, a non-brand is recommended. I use Wegman's Tussin DM.

Also note that the name for this drink should depend on the whisky and cough syrup you use. For example, if you made it with Rebel Yell and Wegman's Tussin you might call it a "Wegman's Yell".
