Sugar-coat the glass by rubbing a slice of lemon around the rim of the martini glass, then dip the rim in a plate of sugar and slowly rotate the glass so that it is completely coated. Next add 50ml of gin to the mixing glass, then 25ml of lemon juice and 25ml of Maraschino liqueur. And 5ml of sugar syrup. Shake in an ice-filled mixing glass for about 20 seconds. (Handy Hint: When there is condensation on the outside of the shaker, and it feels very cold, then it's mixed.) Strain, add your maraschino cherry and enjoy!
