Booze
2 parts Gin
Mixers
6.5 parts Energy Drink
1 part Cough Syrup
Directions
In a glass mix one dose of cough syrup (night time varieties work better), and 2 shots of gin.
Pour the equivalent of 2 cans of Red Bull (energy drink) over this concoction.

This tastes pretty fruity and will provide an entertaining night. The energy drink counteracts the drowsy effects of the cough syrup and the gin works its usual magic.

Yes, this is safe.

Well, yes, Masha, and most 'night time' medicines - listed here as 'working better' - are multi-symptom concoctions, and most contain the maximum amount of acetaminophen you should take at any one dosage...yes, you should check to make sure you have an acetaminophen-free cough syrup...or you could just use black sambuca, that tastes like my favorite cough syrup, Vicks Formula 44 (not the decongestant variety!). auldjaded (583 days ago)

acetaminophen and alcohol is toxic because your liver is trying to process both. Cough syrup doesn't usually have acetaminophen in it, just dextromethorphan. unless you get a multi symptom syrup. Masha (584 days ago)

Um, have you ever noticed the recent news about how acetaminophen and alcohol are a really REALLY toxic mix? Just a thought before you go tossing too many of these things back...might wanna check the cough syrup label. But that's just me. auldjaded (584 days ago)

if the energy counteracts the cough syrup, the why put cough syrup in at all? Kara (589 days ago)
